OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

WON’T TURN ON

For an electric stove won’t start, first ensure the stove power cord is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are switched on. You will want to check the pilot light for gas models. If the stove power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is on in the oven, that means a different part will need to be repaired. The reason for the issue might be an surface element, infinite switch, oven burner igniter or broil and bake element.

BURNER DOES NOT HEAT

A stove or burner or oven with no heat will not do much. Your oven does not heat if there’s a broken bake element or oven sensor. A burner does not fire up when an element breaks or the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We know how to troubleshoot and repair these problems in no more than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

PROGRAM ISSUES

You can assume the control board on an oven is broken if the program or timer settings don’t work. If that’s the case, we are able to fix control panels on GE, LG, Sears, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands and models of ovens, ranges and stoves. We provide a warranty on control boards and the manufacturer parts we need for this type of stove repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You want a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it could be due to a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance technicians know how to find the cause of the problem and repair it. Just be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of body burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is times where an igniter will glow but it does not light. The reason this occurs is from a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We will determine whether we are able to fix these parts or if we will have to replace the part.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

Newer self-cleaning models of ovens sometimes have door problems. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door latch, thermostat and seal to find out why the door does not open up and then we complete the repair so we can fix the problem.
